The FOD Mobility – Recreational Boating Safety Day is getting a new format! Various nautical organisations, companies and authorities are joining forces to organise an interactive event on Saturday 18 April at the VYN.
Participants can enjoy a wide range of information sessions and interactive workshops. The programme is tailored to all recreational boaters, on all types of pleasure craft, both on inland waters and at sea. The focus is always on maximum self-reliance and good seamanship.
The Safety Day is organised with the cooperation of, among others, FOD Mobility, BIPT, Waterway Police, Nemad, …. Workshops will take place both on land and at sea, covering topics such as emergency pyrotechnics, SAR, firefighting, EPIRB, first aid, and more. It promises to be a highly engaging and useful day, with plenty of attention to hands-on experience!

🕘 09:00 – 15:00 – Continuous information stands
DG Shipping, DG Environment – Marine Environment Service, SAR Divers 40th Koksijde, BIPT, De Vlaamse Waterweg, WWSV, Nemad Maritime Safety, RelyOn Nutec, Yachting Support.
With the possibility to hand in old pyrotechnics (against payment at the collection point) and to reserve a techno-preventive inspection (registration on site).
